Kaya is known for his mixture operatic vocals and upbeat electronica. He was formerly the vocalist for Meties, Isola, Schwartz Stein (originally Rudolf Steiner), and Velvet Eden. He also worked on the song Node of Scherzo with Juka (ex HIZAKI Grace Project, Mois Dix Moi, is now solo) and Kamijo (Versailles, ex-Lariene.) Originally Kaya was on his own independent label, but in late 2007 he signed with Next Media Communications Inc.

Beauty, grace, sexuality, and elegance are the themes of Kaya, one of Japan's most prominent vocalists.
First gaining notoriety as the vocalist of the EBM phenomenon Schwarz Stein, Kaya embarked on a solo career starting in 2006. With song writers such as Hora (ex. Schwarz Stein), Kalm (ex. Velvet Eden), and Hizaki (Versailles), Kaya's songs have wide range from electronica, to EBM, to trance, to symphonic, and jazz. His vocal ability is unparalleled as he graces every song with his soulfully powerful, operatic singing that leaves lasting impressions on those who hear it.

*note: I really like this mini. It's very different from his older stuff, yet it's still so him. If it wasn't in Japanese, I could totally picture it being played in some quaint Parisian cafe. It just has that sort of feeling, and maybe that's why I like it.
